AP Seminar: Perspectives about global challenges

This year students in AP Seminar collaborated in teams to research three global challenges of their interest: innovation in developed and developing countries, the obesity epidemic in children and teenagers, and gender inequality in Latin America. The process started with team research questions and statements, continued with research processes from individual lenses, and ended with individual research reports and team multimedia presentations. Students developed their critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills to produce college-level academic work in which they learned how to use analysis from multiple perspectives to understand complex global challenges.
