Biodiversity in Colombia: How much do you know?
Biodiversity in Colombia: How much do you know?
September 11, 2022 is National Biodiversity Day. This is an opportunity to reflect on our behaviour as citizens towards the environment and take action to help protect Colombia´s environmental wealth.
One of the reasons why the National Biodiversity Day is commemorated on September 11 is to remember José Celestino Mutis, who died on September 11, 1808 and who, with the Botanical Expedition, left behind a significant collection of plants that are a remarkable basis for Colombian’s biodiversity national inventory.
Scan, Participate and Win! What is biodiversity? How much do you know about Colombia’s biodiversity? The Science department and Zasqua invites our students, parents, teachers and the admin staff to test their knowledge about biodiversity in Colombia.
- Look out for the QR codes posted around the school billboards and in the weekly bulletin from the 12th to the 16th of September.
- Scan and answer the trivia questions
- Five mouth-watering prizes await the participants with the best scores!
Preschool and elementary: Each class will watch a video with their science teacher during one of their classes. Then those who want to participate will pick up a trivia question card from their science teacher and then turn it in to the teacher after answering the questions.
